Grace Centers of Hope Celebrates More Than 120 Graduates at 2026 Commencement Ceremony

Grace Centers of Hope in Pontiac celebrated a major milestone on June 5, honoring more than 120 individuals during its 2026 Commencement Ceremony for graduates of the organization’s Life Skills and Aftercare Programs.

The evening brought together graduates, their families, friends, staff and community supporters in a celebration of perseverance, personal growth and transformation. The ceremony highlighted the journeys of individuals who have worked to rebuild their lives through the Pontiac-based nonprofit’s faith-centered programs.

Pontiac Mayor Mike McGuinness attended the event and joined in recognizing the achievements of this year’s graduating class, offering words of encouragement and support as graduates marked the next chapter in their journeys.

Organizers also acknowledged community partners who contributed to the event, including Birmingham Masons #44, which provided food and refreshments, and Crushed Healthy Smoothies, which donated smoothies and frappes for attendees.

More than a traditional graduation, the ceremony underscored the mission of Grace Centers of Hope and the impact of its programs. Leaders emphasized that each graduate’s success represents a story of resilience, commitment and hope, grounded in faith and personal determination.
