Grace Centers of Hope Releasing Four-Part Documentary Series “Center of Grace”

Grace Centers of Hope is debuting “Center of Grace,” a four-part documentary series that highlights the Pontiac-based nonprofit organization’s history, long-term recovery program and the stories of men and women whose lives have been changed through its ministry and services. The series premieres Friday, June 12, at 8 p.m. on Grace Centers of Hope’s YouTube channel — with new episodes released every Friday through July 3. Each episode is approximately 30 minutes and will be available free of charge.

“Center of Grace” was created to broaden awareness of Grace Centers of Hope, and to explain its Christ-centered recovery model and why it has been successful for decades in transforming lives. The series also shares a message of hope with individuals and families facing homelessness, addiction and other life challenges.

“‘Center of Grace’ gives viewers an honest look at the life change that happens every day at Grace Centers of Hope,” said Darin Weiss, CEO of Grace Centers of Hope. “Our prayer is that this series will help more people understand the possibilities offered through our programs and let those who are struggling know that real help is available.”

The documentary features interviews with Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard, former Pontiac Mayor Tim Greimel, former Grace Centers of Hope CEO Kent Clark, experts in trafficking and trauma, staff members and graduates of the organization’s life-skills program. Across four episodes, the series alternates between the history of Grace Centers of Hope, an inside look at how the program works today, and the personal stories of residents who completed the program.

Before its public release, the series earned recognition at several faith-based film festivals including a nomination for Best Web Series at the Faith in Film International Film Festival (May 16 in Tucson, Arizona) and selection for Hard Faith Film Festival (June 25, Los Angeles) in the television category.

The release schedule for the series is:

Episode 1 — Fri., June 12, 8 p.m.: “Where Hope Begins” explores the founding of Grace Centers of Hope against the backdrop of a struggling Pontiac, tracing how Pastor Kent and Pam Clark were called to lead a ministry focused on lasting transformation. Through the stories of two program graduates, viewers see how faith, recovery and perseverance can lead to lifelong success

Episode 2 — Fri., June 19, 8 p.m.: “Restored by Grace” takes a deeper look inside Grace Centers of Hope, explaining how the organization operates as a nonprofit, funds its mission, and guides residents through its life-changing programs. The episode centers on the story of one woman whose life was dramatically transformed through the support, structure, and hope she found at GCH.

Episode 3 — Fri. June 26, 8 p.m.: “A Haven of Hope” chronicles the birth and growth of the Women's Program, featuring insights from trauma and trafficking experts alongside staff who have walked closely with women on their journeys to healing. Through several personal stories, the episode shows how Grace Centers of Hope helps women overcome challenges and rediscover purpose, dignity, and faith.

Episode 4 — Fri., July 3, 8 p.m.: “Grace Beyond Walls” looks to the future as Grace Centers of Hope enters a new chapter under new leadership and expands its impact beyond individual lives into surrounding neighborhoods. It features the story of a man transformed by the Gospel and Grace Centers of Hope and celebrates the organization's lasting influence on people, families, and communities.

The documentary was made possible through donor support and developed to share the story of Grace Centers of Hope in a compelling, high-quality format for a broader audience. Matt and Peggy Hale served as executive producers of “Center of Grace,” with Kyle Couch, director of development at Grace Centers of Hope, serving as producer.
