Man Falls From Ambassador Bridge Into Detroit River: Officials
Detroiters fishing along the river saw the man fall from the bridge and alerted officials at J W Westcott Co., officials said.

DETROIT — A man was rescued Wednesday from the Detroit River after he fell from the Ambassador Bridge, officials said.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was awake and talking, officials said.
Officials said the man was working on the Ambassador Bridge roughly 150 feet up after 4 p.m. when he fell from a scaffolding and into the river.

Detroit Fire Chief James Harris told reporters people who were fishing along the river saw the man fall and knocked on the door of J W Westcott Co. Officials then immediately went out and rescued the worker who fell in the river, officials said.
"They rescued this gentleman, got him back on shore, and we rendered medical assistance and got him back good," Harris said.
