Morehouse College Glee Club Hosts Concert for Motown Museum

Proceeds from Concert to Benefit Motown Museum Expansion

The Morehouse College Glee Club and Detroit Morehouse Alumni Association will host a special concert on Wednesday, March 14 from 7-9 p.m. with a portion of proceeds benefiting the Motown Museum expansion, as well as scholarships for Morehouse College. Motown Museum Chairwoman and CEO Robin Terry made the announcement.

An evening of melodic voices and historic sounds, the “Morehouse College Glee Club Meets Motown” concert will be a celebration of musical excellence bringing together two legacy institutions with rich African American history that both changed the world. In addition to the traditional Morehouse College Glee Club songs, the Glee Club Quartet will perform a special tribute to the music of Motown.

“The Motown legacy is rooted in nurturing exceptional talent and offering a place to share their gifts, and as part of that, we continue to partner with groups that embody that same spirit and commitment to fostering talent,” said Terry. “We are truly grateful that the Morehouse College Glee Club is sharing their talent with our community in honor of our expansion.”
