Forecasters expect the storms to cross the area sometime between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. though they could hit as early as 8 p.m. Thursday.
The storms could produce heavy downpours, isolated tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds up to 75 miles per hour.

All of southeastern Michigan was placed under a slight (level 2/5) to enhanced (level 3/5) risk for severe weather Thursday.
Thursday's highs will climb into the upper 80s with heat indexes touching 100 degrees in some areas, according to NWS.

A heat advisory is in effect for the region from noon to 8 p.m. Forecasters warned to wear lightweight and loose-fitting clothing when outside and try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
Any lingering showers or storms should fade away Friday morning as cooler and less humid air moves into the region, according to NWS.
Highs jump back to 90 degrees on Saturday before a more comfortable stretch of weather moves into the area with highs dropping into the 70s to start next week, according to NWS.
