AT&T Expands Fast 4G Network in Farmington Hills
Three areas in town will get faster speeds, thanks to upgrades.

AT&T is now covering more of Farmington Hills with network upgrades cell sites designed to make the sites stronger in order to handle more traffic, resulting in faster speeds and more reliable service.
The improvements were made west of Halsted Road, east of M-5, near Independence Green Apartments; in the area of Orchard Lake and 10 Mile roads and north of 11 Mile between Inkster and Middlebelt roads.
The company improved a total of 16 sites in Oakland, Macomb, Wayne and St. Clair counties.

“Our customers are living their lives on the go. We know they rely on mobile Internet every day. That’s why we’re extending our 4G network for Oakland, St. Clair and Wayne county residents and businesses,” said Jim Murray, president of AT&T Michigan. “We want to help them get the most out of their mobile devices – whether they’re watching videos, texting, or using social media.”

AT&T launched 4G LTE in Detroit in September 2012. We invested more than $1.7 billion in wireless and wired networks in Michigan between 2012 through 2014. This drives a wide range of upgrades to reliability, coverage, speed and performance for residents and business customers.
