AT&T Kicks off Black History Month Program Today
AT&T 28 Days pays homage to the past, gives nod to present-day boundary breakers.

When Ruby W. Dee worked at an AT&T legacy company during World War II, could she have imagined she and her famed actor husband would later serve as masters of ceremony for the 1963 March on Washington? AT&T celebrates Dee along with past and future leaders creating positive change with this year’s AT&T 28 Days Black History Month program. From popular artists and ambassadors, to college presidents and business leaders, the program honors those whose achievements uplift the community.
AT&T has teamed up with leaders across business and entertainment to share their stories and tips for future leaders in a series of videos and articles on the 28 Days website, att.com/28days. For example, Paul Brunson, Matchmaker and Relationship Coach, believes the key to being an inspiring leader is listening. “Listening is critically analyzing what you’re hearing and then acting on it,” said Brunson. Some of the other 28 Days leaders include:
· Rey Ramsey, Managing Partner, Next Sector Capital

The website att.com/28days will feature Moments that Matter with behind-the-scenes photos from important events. A new moment will be shared weekly during February. AT&T will also highlight three groups who help support the community: National Action Network, U.S. Black Chambers Inc., and the National Urban League.
“We at AT&T are proud to support the extraordinary efforts and achievements of all of the communities we serve and are excited about the unfolding history all around us,” said Jennifer L. Jones, Vice President, Diverse Markets, and AT&T Mobility.
Moments that Matter is also a call for everyone to share their moments on social media and become a part of history in the making. Join in by sharing original photos of key personal moments on Instagram and Twitter using the official #att28days hashtag. Top moments will have a chance to win prizes.
