Corrigan Moving Systems Hosts Backpack Drive to Benefit Big Family of Michigan

Corrigan Moving Systems, a full-service relocation company dedicated to elevating the moving experience, announced today that they will hold a school supplies and backpack donation drive to support Fraser-based Big Family of Michigan on Tuesday, August 19 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Hunter’s Square in Farmington Hills and West Oaks II Shopping Center in Novi. Corrigan Moving Systems President David Corrigan made the announcement.

Corrigan moving trucks will be located at Hunter’s Square and West Oaks II—Ramco-Gershenson Properties Trust shopping centers located at the southwest corner of Orchard Lake and 14 Mile roads and the intersection of Novi Rd. and I-96, respectively. Corrigan is encouraging members of the local community to donate school supplies, including backpacks, mechanical pencils, filler paper, spiral notebooks, 3-ring vinyl notebooks, rulers, protractors, compasses, small, solar-powered calculators and safety scissors, among other general school supplies. The nonprofit requests that the school supplies not be packaged inside the backpacks when donated, as children and young adults are invited to select the supplies they need during a Big Family of Michigan backpack pick-up event.

Big Family of Michigan is a nonprofit that serves the needs of Michigan’s foster children and young adults. They work with adoption organizations, foster parents, social workers and the children to make sure the children are receiving the love, care, and items they need and require to become successful adults.
