Kohl's in West River Centre Will Close March 4

Shoppers at department store in the West River Centre on Grand River in Farmington Hills are begin greeted by a small sign on the front doors announcing the store will close March 4.

This week, displays were being removed from the walls, and clusters of store fixtures were stacked among racks of deeply discounted clothing and other items on the sales floor.  

On March 7, Kohl's will open a new store in Livonia Marketplace, a recently redeveloped shopping center (formerly Livonia Mall) at 7 Mile and Middlebelt in Livonia, the Livonia Observer reports. Other businesses in that mall include Dots, a store to which local customers were directed when in December.

Kohl's corporate office did not return calls for comment.
