Learn about early diagnosis, screening and prevention of cancers

Beaumont Hospital – Farmington Hills, formerly Botsford Hospital, welcomes all to attend its Walk with a Doc on Thursday, August 20, from noon to 1 p.m. This FREE community event is led by a physician who will emphasize exercise and provide health tips. Returning speaker Dr. Savitha Balaraman, M.D., a medical oncologist who is an Hour Detroit Magazine Top Doc, will discuss early diagnosis, screening and prevention of cancers.

Walk with a Doc events are held at the Heritage Park Nature Center in Farmington Hills. The park is on the west side of Farmington Rd., between 10 and 11 Mile Roads. Look for Walk with a Doc dates at noon on the third Thursday of every month through November. Walks held rain or shine. Healthy snacks provided.
