March 8 Presidential Primary Absentee Ballot Applications Going Out

The primary is closed, meaning voters must request either a Republican Party or Democratic Party ballot.

FARMINGTON HILLS, MI – The March 8 presidential primary election is still more than two months away, but absentee ballot applications will be going out soon.

There are no other offices or proposals on the ballot for Farmington Hills voters.

This is a closed Primary, which means that voters must select either a Republican Party or Democratic Party ballot type in order to receive a ballot.

By law, this selection must be in writing; therefore voters will be required to select their ballot type on the application to vote at their precinct or on their application for an absent voter ballot.

If a voter is submitting an application for an absent voter ballot and does not request a ballot type, ballot delivery will be delayed until that information is obtained in writing.

Eligible electors who wish to obtain an absent voter ballot for this election may download an application from the city’s website at www.fhgov.com or contact the city clerk’s office at (248) 871-2410.

Absent voter applications will automatically be mailed out to those voters who have requested to be on the city’s permanent absentee voter list the week of Dec. 28.
