• Two men face murder charges in separate but related shooting deaths in Kalamazoo this week (wtvbam.com) — Kalamazoo residents are learning more about two deadly shootings this week, as two men were denied bond and arraigned on open murder and related weapons charges in the deaths of Amaure' Harris and Latraysa Brown. Police say one killing appears to have been retaliation for the other, and investigators stress that both women were targeted in their own homes despite not being involved in the underlying conflicts.
   

• New video shows struggle before deputy shot, cruiser stolen in Kalamazoo County chase (mlive.com) — A July 17 traffic call in Richland Township turned violent when a Kalamazoo County sheriff's deputy was shot in the leg and his cruiser stolen, sparking a high‑speed chase that ended in a crash near Kalamazoo's I‑94 business loop and Lake Street. Newly released police video shows the tense struggle, pursuit through multiple county jurisdictions, and the moments leading to the suspect's arrest and serious felony charges.
   

• Kalamazoo man hospitalized after two-vehicle crash on M-43 (wwmt.com) — A 31-year-old Kalamazoo man suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries after crossing the center line on M-43 in Almena Township early Friday and striking a delivery truck, closing the highway in both directions. He was extricated by Paw Paw firefighters and taken to a hospital, while the truck driver was unhurt and alcohol is not believed to be involved.
