EGLE Awards $470K Grant for Lansing Brownfield Redevelopment (constructionowners.com) — A long-contaminated 2.5-acre industrial site on West Willow Street in Lansing is set for cleanup and reuse thanks to a $470,000 EGLE brownfield grant. By early 2027, the rehabilitated building is expected to host auto-related businesses, create about 30 full-time jobs, and support the city's push to reinvest in aging industrial corridors and reduce blight.
   

2. Former Jackson County deputy arraigned on child sex crime charges from 2017 (wlns.com) — A high-profile criminal case tied to a former Jackson County sheriff's deputy is now moving through the courts, with proceedings based out of Lansing. Prosecutors say the 26-year-old ex-deputy faces multiple first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct charges from 2017, and a judge has set a $250,000 bond ahead of key hearings scheduled in the coming weeks.
