23 Mile McDonald's Celebrates Grand Re-Opening, Gifts $500 to Toys for Tots
The McDonald's at 23 Mile Road, just west of Romeo Plank now boasts two drive thru lanes and a whole new interior.
It's not every day you see Ronald McDonald in Macomb Township, but Wednesday, the fast food icon was out in force to help celebrate the grand re-opening of the at 23 Mile and Romeo Plank.
Cracking jokes, singing songs and sporting his classic yellow suit, red hair and striped socks, the clown welcomed patrons to the recently renovated location and helped the McDonald's staff present a $500 check to Toys for Tots to mark the occasion.
With renovations to the restaurant's interior and exterior finally complete, the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce joined McDonald's officials and township representatives in celebrating the restaurant's grand re-opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Uniformed staff passed out complimentary peppermint mochas from the McCafe and Ronald McDonald used everything from jokes to magic tricks to keep patrons of all ages laughing.

In addition to adopting the chain's more contemporary building design, exterior renovations also include the addition of a second drive thru lane. Inside, the restaurant has been outfitted to fit the modern and more "connected" patron, with free Wi-Fi and multiple electrical sockets on every wall.
Upgrades to the restaurant's interior and exterior should translate to "speedy customer service" and a better "overall experience inside the restaurant," said John O'Neil, McDonald's operations manager.
The menu remains the same.
