Get Out: Grub Crawl, Motown Jams and a Movie at Main

Collegiate art, live music, a bit of rap and a Grub Crawl are on the schedule to get you through the weekend (and then some).


Where/When: Macomb Center for the Performing Arts; Thursday, April 21, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
Why Go: The Art Gallery of the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts is holding a new show featuring the works of Macomb Community College students. Stop in and enjoy their creative output. The show is Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., through May 11, and open for 90 minutes prior to all Macomb Center performances Friday-Sunday.

Where/When: Clinton-Macomb Public Library-Main Branch; Thursday, April 21, 1 p.m.
Why Go: Come to the Main Branch of the library for a free movie. Today's selection is Salt, the 2010 thriller starring Angelina Jolie and Liev Schrieber.

Where/when: Empire Lounge, Shelby Township; Friday, April 22, 9 p.m.-1 a.m.
Why Go: Enjoy Motown classics and modern pop served up by the Joyride Band.

Where/When: Nine participating restaurants in northern Macomb County; Wednesday, April 27,  5:30-9:30 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy this Grub Crawl, nicely nestled in the midst of the Sterling Regional Chamber of Commerce's inaugural , where you'll be shuttled to nine restaurants to nibble, sample and socialize among fellow food lovers.
Pricing: $25 per person. Please register in advance.
