Macomb Company Teams With Japanese Aerospace for Global Alliance

Already a leading supplier of tooling systems for the military, commercial aerospace and space satellite industries, the Macomb Township-based company, Global Tooling Solutions, will soon expand its reach around the globe, thanks to the recent partnership of its parent company with a Japan-based aerospace firm.

Global Tooling Solutions is a subsidiary of Hampson Aerospace Tooling Solutions. An established international company, Hampson is expanding its global influence in the competitive aerospace industry by teaming with Japan-based Aero Consulting.

Together, Hampson and Aero Consulting will provide Japan-based aircraft manufacturers and Tier One suppliers with highly innovative engineering solutions.

This move could bring work to the Macomb Township company, which is the world's leading supplier of large, tight-tolerance tooling systems for the military, commercial aerospace and space satellite industries.

"One of our prime objectives is to continue to strengthen our position in the integration and automation segment by expanding our business internationally," said Don Stockton, Hampson Aerospace Tooling Solutions' CEO. "Aero Consulting is a recognized aviation leader in Japan, and working in tandem with them is an excellent way for us to achieve our goal."

Hampson Aerospace Tooling Solutions is a division of England-based Hampson Industries, which is a world leader in the design and manufacturing of close-tolerance tooling and assembly systems that service the global aerospace market.

Their leadership from end-to-end solutions (engineering, project management, manufacturing and logistics) has earned the group numerous customer awards. They serve the global commercial and military aerospace markets from 12 facilities located in the U.K., North America and India.

Aero Consulting is a subsidiary of Aero, Inc., which operates from four manufacturing facilities throughout Japan. They provide broad aerospace products and services ranging from component manufacturing and integration to large structural assemblies. The company has established itself for both quality and efficiency, and building technically demanding specifications.

Representatives from Macomb Township's Global Tooling Solutions declined to comment on the recent alliance.
