MCC Board Accepting Applications for Replacement Trustee
The resignation of Trustee Frank DeSantis has left a vacancy on the Macomb Community College board of trustees.

The Macomb Community College board of trustees is accepting applications through April 8 to fill the seat formerly held by Trustee Frank DeSantis.
DeSantis is resigning from the post for personal reasons.
“On behalf of my colleagues on the college’s board, I thank Trustee Frank DeSantis for his 14 years of service to the college, and by extension, to our community,” said James F. Kelly, chairperson, Macomb board of trustees, in a release. “Maintaining affordability and increasing educational opportunities for residents is critical to Macomb County’s economic vitality, so we will be looking for a colleague to join us who understands the power of education and is dedicated to building on Macomb Community College’s heritage of responsiveness and relevancy.”

The appointed trustee will serve on the board until the next regularly scheduled election for MCC trustees on Nov. 6, 2012.
Applications to fill the vacancy must be submitted by 5 p.m. April 8.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old and residents of Macomb County. To apply, interested persons much submit a letter of interest and resume to the Office of the Board of Trustees, Macomb Community College, 14500 East 12 Mile Road, Warren, MI 48088-3896 or email their materials to martzp@macomb.edu.
The board will appoint DeSantis' replacement during its next regularly scheduled meeting at 7:30 p.m. April 26 at the Professional Development Center in the University Center at Macomb’s Center Campus in Clinton Township.
