Rupkus a Hot Hitter for Mustangs

Kristin Rupkus is a hot hitter for the Mustangs this season.
The senior registered 15 kills against Royal Oak Shrine on Sept. 8 as the Mustangs defeated the Knights 25-20, 25-9, 25-9.
“Kristin's strength is absolutely hitting," said Lutheran North volleyball coach Kristina Gilchrist. "She knows what spots to hit; she's is a very smart hitter. Also, if a block gets her, she won’t let the block get her again. She is definitely one of our strongest hitters."

This is Rupkus' third season on the varsity squad as an outside hitter and she's serious about her game.
"Volleyball is her sport and she loves it," Gilchrist said. "Kristin is very driven and serious about the game. She wants to do well and it shows. Off the court she is a hard worker and is always ready for volleyball. Kristin also plays a mean defense and works well with her teammates."

The Mustangs are currently 15-2 in their young season and look forward to starting league play in the Catholic League AA division.
