National Kidney Foundation of Maryland KEY Screening

Lasting about 20 minutes, the screening includes a blood
test, as well as blood pressure and weight checks. It will test for high blood
pressure, diabetes and kidney disease. No appointments are needed and any adult
can participate.



 



As part of NKF-MD’s mission of
early detection and early intervention, this KEY (Kidneys: Evaluate Yours)
screening will identify early markers for high
blood pressure, diabetes and kidney disease. No appointments are needed for the
screening and any adult can participate. Lasting about 20 minutes, the
screening includes a blood test, as well as blood pressure and weight checks.

One out of every nine Americans has or will develop chronic
kidney disease, and most affected do not realize it until the condition has
progressed. In fact, 181 of the 769 people screened last year by NKF-MD
demonstrated significant results.
