📰 News we're reading

• A Northville road has been crumbling for years. A fix may come by November, county officials say (arcpublishing.com) — A massive crater has made Clement Road near Main Street in Northville impassable, disrupting emergency access, trash pickup, and everyday driving for nearby residents. Wayne County now plans to replace stormwater pipes, rebuild drainage and embankments, and fully repave the road, aiming to finish repairs by the end of November 2026, weather permitting.

• Holland Calvary cross country holding strong at No. 1 in D4; HC teams still tops (sturgisjournal.com) — Northville's boys and girls cross country teams are both ranked among Michigan's top Division 1 programs in the latest statewide coaches poll, reflecting strong performances heading into the postseason. The rankings, which span all divisions and Upper Peninsula categories, show how Northville stacks up against powerhouses from Ann Arbor, Holland, and beyond.
