Body Parts Found In Rouge River Identified As Wayne Woman: Police
Investigators still have not yet determined a cause of death.
WAYNE, MI — Human remains that were found in the Rouge River in Wayne last week have been identified as a missing 56-year-old year woman from Wayne, according to the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office.
Investigators used dental records to identify the body parts as Rosalind Taylor, who was last seen on Aug. 18 in downtown Wayne, not far from where her remains were found, according to officials.
Investigators still have not yet determined a cause of death.

A kayaker found the human remains "tangled along the embankment" in the Lower Rouge River at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday near Pershing Street in Wayne, according to police.
Officials pulled an upper torso from the river Wednesday night, according to police.

Officials returned Thursday morning and then found the lower half of the body in a nearby section of the river, according to police.
