Learn about transit millage and more in new issue of Plymouth Express
June issue of Plymouth Library newspaper now available

The June issue of the Plymouth Express newspaper published by the Plymouth District Library is now available online, and will soon be available in print at the library entrance.
The new issue features an article on the public transit proposal that will appear on the summer ballot for all Wayne County voters. Based on a property tax millage, the proposal would expand the SMART transit system into western and downriver areas including Plymouth, Canton and Northville if it passes on a countywide vote.
The article is accompanied by a timeline tracing the history of public transit in Plymouth, which ended in 1995 except for a reservation-based senior bus traveling mostly within the city and township.
