The Little Stars Foundation Offers Free Programming Workshop

The Little Stars Foundation (TLSF) is offering a free programming workshop on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 for student ages 10 to 17 years old. This introductory level workshop is aimed at introducing basics of programming to the students, encouraging interest in computer science and STEM-related fields. This one evening workshop will be held at the Canton Administration Building Meeting Room at 7-9 pm. The workshop will be taught by a college student majoring computer science. No previous programming experience is required. Students must provide their own laptop. The registration deadline is May 28, 2017. The Little Stars Foundation Offers Free Violin Workshop

The Little Stars Foundation (TLSF) is offering a free violin workshop starting July 19, 2017 for children ages 6 to 13 years old. This is the 9th consecutive year that TLSF has been providing free music workshops for local children. This introductory level workshop is aimed at introducing music and specifically violin to young children. The 4-week-long workshop will be held at the Canton Administration Building Meeting Room at 7-9 pm. Tentative workshop schedule : Wednesday, 7/19, 7/26, 8/2, 8/9. No previous violin experience is required. However, returning students are welcome to attend again to further improve their skill. The participants of this workshop will have an opportunity to perform violin music with current TLSF members in the end of the workshop. Students must provide their own violin.
