Livonia Law Firm’s “Off to College” Promotion Cuts the Cost of its “Security Blanket” Plan for Young Adults, Parents Nearly in Half

Ahhhh, 18. The age of freedom every child dreams of. They’re now old enough to vote, get married, and do a number of other things legally that they couldn’t do before - including severely limiting or completely ending their parents’ involvement in and control of their young lives.
When a boy or girl reaches that milestone age, they are legally considered to be an adult and are no longer legally represented by their parents. This means parents could be excluded from their child’s emergency care.
Helping your child get started with adult responsibilities when he or she becomes an adult is just one more parental responsibility. It fits right in with how to balance a checkbook, how to handle a credit card, and how to buy the right insurance policies.
Under the federal Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), an adult teen’s health is a matter to be handled only by the teen and his or her medical care provider. While no parent wants their son or daughter involved in an emergency situation, they must be prepared for it - before it’s too late.
For a limited time, The Law Office of David C. Brunell is helping parents of new adults save money on a unique protection plan known as the “Security Blanket.” The Livonia firm’s “Off to College” promotion makes the plan available for $250, a $200 savings off of the regular price.
“As the parents of a college student ourselves, my wife, Cindi, and I know full well the worry and anxiety a parent goes through when it’s time for their son or daughter to leave the nest,” said David C. Brunell, the firm’s owner. “The ‘Security Blanket’ offers peace of mind not only to mom and dad, but to the child, too, and is a thoughtful gift for a young person as they enter our scary world on their own. You deserve the peace of mind and your child deserves the protection.”
