Occupational Therapist Amanda Kokas Joins The Recovery Project

Leading physical therapy clinic hires new talent

The Recovery Project, a leading provider of high-intensity physical and occupational therapies that improve the lives and functionality of patients with spinal cord and other neurological injuries, has hired Amanda Kokas as an occupational therapist at the company’s Livonia clinic. In her new role, Kokas will work closely with patients to evaluate their needs and devise intensive treatment plans that utilize the latest research-proven best practices and state-of-the-art equipment to help them accomplish their goals.

Prior to joining The Recovery Project, Kokas evaluated, treated and gave discharge recommendations for patients in acute care on the neurosurgery floor as an occupational therapy student at Beaumont Hospital – Dearborn. Prior to that, she evaluated and treated patients in the spinal cord injury unit in a similar role at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan. She graduated with a masters of occupational therapy from Wayne State University in December 2015.
