Plymouth firm gets $1.9 million state grant for compact power conversion tech (techcentury.com) — A Plymouth-based company, Marel Power Solutions, has secured a $1.9 million state grant to build a pilot production line in town for its compact power-conversion technology. The funding helps the firm scale EV and data-center power stacks in Michigan, potentially supporting local high-tech jobs while strengthening the state's evolving automotive supply chain.
   

2. I-96 Drivers Begin to See Relief in Livonia (wxyz.com) — Drivers in and around Plymouth will see some relief as MDOT shifts westbound I-96 traffic back onto new pavement near Livonia, while warning that M-14 work just beyond the I-275 interchange in Plymouth is still ongoing. Ramps to and from I-275 are reopening, but Plymouth commuters should expect continued construction-related slowdowns on M-14 through the end of the year.
   

3. Rivian Says Commercial Van Roadmap 'Just Getting Started' in Hiring Push (eletric-vehicles.com) — Rivian is hiring a senior program manager for its commercial van and upfitting operations, with the role potentially based in Plymouth Normal, Illinois, or Irvine, California. The position would help steer Rivian's growing commercial-van roadmap and work closely with major fleet customers and upfit partners, offering Plymouth-area professionals a chance to join a high-visibility EV program.
   

4. Dylan Duke pushing for more NHL time after goal-filled AHL campaign (nhl.com) — NHL hopeful Dylan Duke spent his offseason training in Plymouth skating with a high-powered group of NHL stars to sharpen his game. After a 32-goal AHL season, he's pushing to earn more time with the Tampa Bay Lightning, crediting his intense Plymouth workouts and coaching support for preparing him to compete for a roster spot.
