Plymouth E.G. Nick's Owner Doubles Down On His Support For Veterans
Frank Agostini, owner of E. G. Nick's has long been a supporter of our nation's veterans, and a very big supporter of our local veterans.

Frank Agostini, owner of E. G. Nick's has long been a supporter of our nation's veterans, as well as a very big supporter of our local veterans. His successful restaurant has been hosting excellent bands for Plymouth's Fall Festival and Ice Festival for several years.
These are very popular events for both local residents, and folks from outside the Plymouth community. Those who show up to Frank's Rock & Roll Tent behind his restaurant, are greeted by veterans from the Plymouth-Canton Vietnam Veterans, where they collect a nominal cover
charge, apply a wrist band and check ID’s.
What most folks don't know, is that Frank donates those cover charges, to our local Plymouth-Canton Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 528. He doesn't brag about it, he just does it. He's been doing it for years. He arranges for the tents to be put up, selects and pays for the
bands who perform, and for the Ice Festival, provides heat to keep the place comfortable for festival goers.

The cover charge that folks are glad to pay, which he donates to VVA-528 are used to benefit many veteran programs both locally, and within the State of Michigan. It is a great fundraiser for our local veterans, and the money raised, goes to various organizations helping needy veterans, but they also work within the Plymouth-Canton communities, to help other worthy organizations. The festivals are always fun nights for those attending the events, but also for our veterans, as a great many festival goers thank them for their service, and the bands that Frank hires, are always awesome.
Well Frank Agostini has just doubled down on his commitment to our local veterans, by securing the parking lot behind his restaurant, so that when folks park in this lot, as they did recently at Art In The Park, they will be supporting our local veterans. These lots have been paid parking for the big events in Plymouth for years, and folks who pay to park there, support groups like the Lion's Club, the local high school bands, and other community groups.

Now, our local veterans are benefiting from these charitable endeavors. The first endeavor was recently at Art In the Park, and it was a huge success for our veterans. Not necessarily because of the funds raised, and they were grateful for that, but mostly because of the fun that our veterans had, while learning to be “parking lot attendants.” As VVA 528 President, John Heraghty said, “It's almost more about the comradery, than it is about the money. The money is important in helping our local veterans, but the 25 volunteers who worked the event, had a great time, and you can't put a price on that.”
VVA 528 Vice President, Bob Dew has been working with Frank Agostini since the beginning, and Bob spoke about what he likes the most about this partnership, and he said that “Frank is not the kind of guy who just cuts a check to an organization, to feel good. He's always out there, chatting with our members, seeing if there is anything they need, and just showing his support in any way he can.”
There are a great many businesses in Plymouth who do their best to give back to the community that they serve, and E. G. Nick's is most definitely one of those businesses. The veterans at the Plymouth VFW Post, and the Plymouth-Canton Vietnam Veterans of America are grateful for the support of Frank Agostini, and as someone who took the opportunity to not only see how our veterans expertly parked the cars, but also enjoyed a great dinner at E.G. Nick's, I wholeheartedly recommend the Grouper Fish dinner...
