simple yoga practices off the mat

The traditional practices of yoga include pranayama (breathing), mantra (repetition of sounds), bhavana (visualization), pratyahara (self study and observation), dharana (concentration), and dhyana (meditation).  Join us Tuesday for an hour to learn, practice, and discuss a few of these methods.  The research has shown that yoga practices create internal flexibility- allowing us to move with balance from stress response to calm.  Health benefits include reduced resting heart rate, lower blood pressure, stress impact, depression and mood, feelings of well being and happiness increase.  Research has also shown improvement in areas related to relationship at home and the work place.  
Yoga may not be a high aerobic blast on the body- but is that really what you always need?  This informative (and relaxing!) seminar class will give new ideas on how to manage, strengthen , and maintain the whole you!
