Leader Dogs for the Blind will host an Open House on Saturday, May 3 from 1-4 p.m. in celebration of the organization’s 75th Anniversary.
Located at the Leader Dog headquarters in Rochester Hills, this free event includes tours of the kennel, demonstrations on how Leader Dogs are trained, how to travel using a white cane or GPS, and how to become a Leader Dog instructor or volunteer puppy raiser.
Leader Dog clients will be available to show how they work with their dogs and share their life-changing experiences as a result of the independence gained through Leader Dog.
After the Open House, visit the Rochester Hills Lions Club 37th Annual Spring Carnival located in the Kmart-Rochester Hills parking lot across the street from Leader Dogs for the Blind on S. Rochester Road. Rides, food and games are open until 11 p.m.
Leader Dogs for the Blind is located at 1039 S. Rochester Road in Rochester Hills, Mich.
