ROYAL OAK, MI — A Royal Oak man is in trouble after police said he made a teenage girl perform sexual acts for him during video calls and exchanged inappropriate messages with multiple underage girls on social media, according to a criminal complaint.

Steven Harvey Bishop could be charged with online enticement of a minor to engage in illicit sexual activity and production of and attempting to produce child pornography, after he told police he had sexual conversations on the internet with three teenage girls under the age of 16, according to the criminal complaint.

Investigators interviewed one of the girls on May 17 who said she had FaceTime calls with Bishop on Discord, although Bishop would keep his camera turned off, officials said.

During the interview, the teen girl showed investigators part of a November conversation, in which Bishop asked for her age and told her to get naked so he could see her on camera, according to the criminal complaint.

Later in that conversation, Bishop also asked her to send him a picture of her touching herself inappropriately in a sexual pose, according to the criminal complaint.

"I want something nice to wake up to," Bishop said, according to the criminal complaint. "Make sure I can see your face in it."

The teenage girl also told officials that during the calls, bishop would tell her to perform sexual acts, such as masturbate with her fingers, slap herself across the face, put a gag in her mouth, as well as other requests.

While she was performing the activities, Bishop asked if he could take screenshots, to which the girl told him no, but she believes he did anyway because she found them online, according to the criminal complaint.

Police then began investigating the Instagram account in January, which had a similar username to the Discord account, and found photos of a man who resembled Bishop, according to the criminal complaint.

The teen girl told police that Bishop lived on North Campbell Road in Royal Oak, but moved out of the home when she told him about the screenshots she received on Instagram, according to the criminal complaint.

Police then traced a phone number and account to a home on Marengo Drive in Troy and searched the home on Wednesday, according to the criminal complaint.

Bishop told officials the Instagram and Discord accounts they were investigating were his, according to the criminal complaint.
