Royal Oak Seeks Public Input on Parks at Thursday Meeting.
Parks master plan is due for update, Parks and Recreation wants to make sure residents are heard.

(Originally posted on Dec. 8, 2016) ROYAL OAK, MI — Do you have ideas for Royal Oak parks? The city wants your input. Park officials are drafting a new master plan for the parks, and a 7 p.m. Monday meeting at the Mahany-Meininger Senior Center at 3500 Marais is your chance to weigh in with ideas.
“We want to hear what people are interested in,” Mike Ripinski, vice chair of the city’s Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, told The Daily Tribune. “It will also be helpful in our overall priorities with what we do with Normandy Oaks, and a park downtown if that comes to fruition.”
At the meeting, officials will take comments on features to be included at the Normandy Oaks development and a proposed $100 million civic center development.
