Pedestrian in wheelchair struck in Southfield (detroitnews.com) — A man using a motorized wheelchair was critically injured after being hit by a westbound vehicle while crossing 11 Mile Road near Marshall Street in Southfield. Police and fire crews responded Saturday evening, and the driver stayed at the scene. Southfield police are still investigating, as statewide crash data show hundreds of traffic deaths and thousands of serious injuries this year.
