Kalosomatics is a well-rounded, safe and effective exercise program with offerings for all ages and fitness levels, according to a release.
Kalosomatics, based in the communities of St. Clair Shores and Grosse Pointe Woods, was established in 1977 and incorporates aerobics, calisthenics, brisk walking, jogging, yoga, circuit-training, step aerobics, kickboxing, resistance bands, Pilates-like toning exercises and more. Classes are offered for men and women, and are taught by a team of dedicated, certified instructors who give personal attention to students of all levels.

Kalosomatics exercise classes are offered every weekday morning, 9-10 a.m. The Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9-10 a.m. class, for women only, is ideal for beginners. The Tuesday-Thursday 9-10 a.m. class, also for women, steps up the intensity for a more intermediate workout. Our 7-8 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday Co-Ed Cross-Training class is for the advanced exerciser. Free baby-sitting is available for registered students during all 9-10 a.m. classes, as well as during the 7-8 p.m. class.
An extra day of fitness is offered with a Co-Ed Saturday Kalosomatics class, which runs 8:15-9:15 a.m., for those who prefer to kick off their weekend with a great, stress-busting workout.

Less strenuous forms of Kalosomatics are also available and presented in: Moderation, a gentler, low-impact Co-Ed class; Stretch & Stroll chair classes, a Co-Ed class for seniors who want an effective, age-appropriate cardiovascular workout but have trouble getting up from an exercise mat; and Cardiac Maintenance Exercise class for heart patients who want to maintain the healthy lifestyle they’ve adopted.
And for the very youngest, Kalosomatics even has a Parents & Tots play and exercise class, for ages 1-3 years, to help establish sound fitness habits at an early age.
