Community Corner

No One Cold Campaign

My name is Charrise Dubiel and I am a member of the LIONs PRIDE Community Organization.   I am writing to tell you a little about our organization and the wonderful things that we are trying to accomplish in our communities. We recognize that some many people have gotten away from being involved in each other’s lives.  We want to help in trying to bridge that gap and bring people out and help lend a hand when there’s a neighbor in need.  We’re asking for your help in getting the word out about our campaign to aid those in need.

LIONs is an acronym for Looking
In on Our Neighbors.  Our 2 main organizational goals are helping neighbors in need and building community leaders.

We are currently promoting our 1st Annual- No One Cold Campaign. It is a unique way we at LIONs Pride Community Organization can provide a warm
blanket with a Bible wrapped inside for those in need.   The blanket will warm the body and the word will warm the soul.  We call this the “Gift of Warmth.”

We are seeking donations of brand new blankets to be dropped off at designated drop-sites (for larger donations arrangement can be made for pickup). Bibles have been donated by Breath of Life Christian Church.  We have volunteer ambassadors that will seek
out those “out in the cold” and deliver this unique Gift of Warmth present to them.  This can be people at bus
stops, homeless shelters, people down on their luck, the unemployed, homeless  or  anyone who in need. We at LIONs Pride feel that there is no wrong way to give.  We
have no borders.

The dates for the program are December 1, 2012 to February 1, 2013.  If anyone is interested in helping or need more info, go to our website at:  www.lionspridecommunity.com or our Facebook page @  No One Cold
