Thank you, hospice volunteers!
A thank you to the hospice volunteers who make a tremendous difference in the lives of our patients.
National Volunteer Week is April 21-27 and is a time to thank and celebrate the thousands of men, women and young people who volunteer their time to help others. As the volunteer coordinator for Great Lakes Caring Hospice, I have the honor of witnessing volunteers in action.
I would like to thank the volunteers on the Great Lakes Caring Hospice team. Each of these very compassionate souls help us every day by spending time with the patients, providing pet, music and other alternative therapies, assisting in the office and much more. The work these volunteers do for us and the patients we serve is invaluable. Their dedication and selfless commitment enables us to fulfill our mission: to enhance the quality of life for individuals and their loved ones touched by a terminal illness. Their acts of compassion both large and small, allow our patients comfort, and companionship that make the difference at a very critical point in their lives.
To our volunteers and all Hospice volunteers, thank you!
