WORK STRESS? JOB STRESS? DAILY LIFE & FAMILY STRESS? What next !?!?!
Return home feeling grateful for a good day ~ A different ending because you did your day differently. Life begins and ends with a Breath...And so does our day begin and end with a Breath.
There are many writings about Stress: articles, books, blogs, DVD, CD, television specials, yet why does it continue to seem so elusive? Perhaps the varying degrees of language?
Whether from the most eloquent, fluent, silver-tongued or well spoken person offering research, medical and statistical data--- or the polar opposite, all are offering the bottom line that stress is part of every day living, an option of behavior: mentally, emotionally and physically in response to one's point of view about their work away from the home, an at-home work job, a volunteer activity at work or in the community, at church, in school, the neighborhood organization and often the most volalile stress is at home with the family. Pheewwwwwww!!!
As we continue to believe the myth that multi-tasking is actually something that a person can do and that it is something to brag about, we will perpetuate too much to do in too little time and that the to-do list is more important than Being Still, Feeling Peace and Quiet, and Having quality time for ourself and with others.

Imagine that you rise in the morning, smile and feel a sense of unexplainable joy and peace, serenity? You spend 5-10 minutes in a comfortable chair breathing deeply, slowly, consciously...you then read an inspirational quote or poem, or perhaps walk or view the garden flowers with birds flittering about. Then you greet and eat and kiss goodbye and send off your family to their day. The external harriedness may dimly appear, yet the internal calm has become the mortar for you, this day, your day.
Throughout the day you continue with a sense of calm, your connection to something inside of you that is holding strong, stable; and you breathe deeply, slowly, consciously. Matters not what surprises, detours or what previously you perceived as chaos comes into your path, your first response----because you have chosen to PRACTICE it everyday throughout the day----is to PAUSE & BREATHE.

Returning home from work, toting the kids, or after your day of running errands and tasks and chores and to-do's...Gathering together at home where the heart is. Home where the heart is at peace, feeling grateful for a good day~Ahhhhhh yes. A different ending because you did your day different.
Life begins and ends with a Breath...And so does our day begin and end with a Breath.
Studies worldwide continue to provide data that more than 80% of health issues, diseases, mental perspective, emotional feelings and recovery from illness can be improved through MANAGING STRESS.
STRESS = Our reaction, our response to our thoughts about every single thing that happens to us, or doesn't happen to us, throughout our day.
We think it's good, we think it's ok, OR we don't like it and would rather not.
Fight or Flight VERSUS Going with the Flow
Sounds basic enough? Simple yes, however definitely not all that easy.
Our normal ways of daily living are not serving us, not supplying us with enough to keep us healthy in how we think about things, what we feel about things, and definitely not enough to keep our bodies healthy. All the buzz words and classes and techniques out there all have one thing in common. You have to PRACTICE. That is why it is called A PRACTICE. YOUR PRACTICE. Life may not be a dress rehearsal, but for sure we can all incorporate A PRACTICE into our daily routine, just for the less-stress of it~
Know 1 thing for sure, you are worthy and you do deserve time for you. To be still. To do something for you that makes you smile and brings forth that feeling of fun and joy, peace and harmony; just like you used to when you were about 10 years old. You knew then, and you know now...you just forgot to put it on your to-do list.
