Go Away, Pokémon Go, Some in St. Clair Shores Say
Sometimes, there are up to 500 cars at Wahby Park, sometimes after park hours, neighbors say.
ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — Some St. Clair Shores residents want Pokémon Go to go away, at least from a neighborhood park that has a dozen PokéStops — that is, places where players can capture, battle and train virtual creatures on the wildly popular augmented reality smartphone game.
Neighbors told WDIV-TV there are sometimes up to 500 cars parked near Wahby Park late at night. It’s the same park where five players were ticketed last month at the park, located on Jefferson between Nine and 10 Mile roads.
One of the residents, Scott Dodich, told the TV station the players are rude and trespass on private property.
