The Yankee Air Museum is pleased to host a Historic Presentation
Night on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. This event features Jerry Towler,
discussing his experiences as an Army helicopter pilot in Vietnam. Jerry
was involved in the Battle for the Ia Drang Valley, the battle
portrayed in the movie "We Were Soldiers". He was also in the book
"Chickenhawk". The Huey on display at our museum is dedicated to Jerry
and is painted up like the helicopter he flew in Vietnam. This is a free
