Left Lane to Close on Westbound I-94 This Weekend
The left lane of westbound I-94 will close this weekend as part of the ongoing project between Masonic and I-696.

The I-94 resurfacing project in St. Clair Shores will move into a new phase of construction this weekend as crews will close the left lane of the westbound I-94 for drainage and median work.
According to a release from the Michigan Department of Transportation, the left lane of westbound I-94 will close at 8 p.m. Friday for construction crews to install drainage upgrades and reconstruction of the median wall and shoulders.
The left lane will be closed around-the-clock from Masonic Blvd to I-696 through early June. There are no additional ramp closures expected on westbound I-94, according to a release.

Three lanes on eastbound I-94 will remain open during peak travel times.
Addition to the traffic shift, the following the ramps will remain closed until mid-summer:

- The 12 Mile Road entrance ramp to eastbound I-94,
- 11 Mile Road entrance ramp to eastbound I-94,
- The eastbound I-94 exit ramp to Gratiot Avenue,
- The Gratiot Avenue entrance ramp to westbound I-94,
- The Little Mack Avenue entrance ramp to westbound I-94,Â
- The 11 Mile Road entrance ramp to westbound I-94.
The project is scheduled to be completed in October.Â
