• Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan grant brings refrigeration, resources to Kentwood food pantry (fox17online.com) — A new grant announced in Wyoming will help Second Harvest Food Pantry in nearby Kentwood better serve local families with refrigeration, nutrition education, and funds for dairy. With demand far above expectations, the pantry now serves hundreds of families weekly and offers walk-in hours multiple days, giving Wyoming-area neighbors another resource when money for groceries runs short. 
• Men's Soccer Finishes Runner-Up in MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll (hope.edu) — A Hope College men's soccer preseason poll places the team second in the MIAA, and one of its returning all-conference standouts hails from Wyoming. Junior midfielder Benjamin Smitley, a Grand Rapids Catholic Central alum, joins several other veterans as Hope chases another league title starting with a Sept. 2 home match.
