• School safety officers sharpen de-escalation skills ahead of new school year (schoolnewsnetwork.org) — Wyoming Public Schools security officers joined colleagues from across Kent County for intensive de‑escalation and school safety training just ahead of the new school year. Local officers, including Wyoming's security supervisor and a district alum, practiced real-life scenarios, learned updated legal guidelines, and shared strategies to better support students in emotional distress while keeping buildings safe.
