MN Forecast: 'Fireplace Weather' Is Here To Stay

After a warm week, the weather in the Twin Cities metro area will cool down and feel more like fall.

TWIN CITIES, MN — After an unseasonably warm week, temperatures in the Twin Cities metro will fall back down to normal in the coming days, and it will likely stay that way for the rest of the month.

Lows in the coming days will be in the mid-40s or colder. The low for Saturday night will be 43 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Here's the full NWS forecast for the Twin Cities metro area:

Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms before 4pm, then a chance of showers. High near 65. Breezy, with an east southeast wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 46. South southwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. West southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 44. West wind around 5 mph.
Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 54. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 40. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 59. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 43. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 63. West wind 5 to 10 mph.
Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 44. West wind around 5 mph becoming south after midnight.
Monday: Sunny, with a high near 67. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
