The horrific death of George Floyd and the unsettling events that have followed are painful to see and difficult to process.
Understanding our own emotions related to this tragedy is difficult. Yet, we must find ways to help our children address feelings of anger, sadness, fear and confusion. It is important to create space for reflection, thoughtful discussion and active listening.

I am grateful for strong relationships with our community partners, employees, families and students. Together, we have the responsibility to address the systemic racism and inequities this act has once again brought to light.
This has been a challenging week as we end an already difficult school year. I am heartbroken by the events in our state. We have come together to support each other through this pandemic and we will support each other through this critical time. As a school community, we will continue to work together for the benefit of our students and each other. We will do so with strength, hope, compassion and kindness.
Sincerely,
Superintendent Mary M. Kreger
