Police Activity In Eagan, Jan. 20 – Feb. 5

Alleged shoplifting, DWI patrols, mental health crisis, and a threatening letter​ are cases included in Eagan Patch's police report.

Alleged shoplifting, DWI patrols, a mental health crisis, and a threatening letter are among the items included in the Eagan Patch's police activity report for Jan. 20 through Feb. 5.

All of the following information was provided by Eagan police on Twitter:

Jan. 20

  • A female was arrested at the Target on Cliff Road for shoplifting. She was given a citation and released.

Jan. 24

Jan. 29

  • Officers were investigating a threatening letter at BCBS building. The building was checked and officers determined no danger to the public.

Jan. 30

  • A man was having a mental health crisis at Eagan City Hall. Officers worked with that man and provided him help.

Feb. 5

  • A driver did not stop when officers tried to pull him over in the area. He finally stopped at the Promenade Oaks apartment complex. A ticket was given.
  • Resident reported he saw seven cars pulled over with multiple police officers at each one, as well state state troopers. Police say there were extra DWI patrols for the Super Bowl.
  • A driver was pulled over near the McDonalds off Diffley Road and was given a warning for an equipment violation.
