A Truly Top Grade Angus

When it comes to Angus, his foster mom Amber West doesn’t quite know where to start. 

“Angus is the most smiley, funny dog I have ever known. He is very special... Angus absolutely loves people. He is a huge snuggler and the best sleeping buddy,” she gushed. 

Angus, a one-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier, came to Edina-based rescue group Secondhand Hounds by way of Minneapolis Animal Control. Secondhand Hounds director Rachel Mairose calls him “one of the most handsome dogs” she has ever seen.  

This pup has abundant energy and tends to get excited around other dogs. West was quick to clarify, however, that Angus is not showing signs of aggression, simply excitement at the prospect of meeting new friends. He is gentle and affectionate with the four other dogs at his current home and also does well with children and cats.
