Edina Football Falls to Mighty Minnetonka
The Hornets traveled to Minnetonka on Friday, and lost 28-14 to the Skippers.
The Edina football team dug themselves a hole too big that they could not climb out on Friday against Minnetonka. Minnetonka (4-0) built a 28-0 lead and held the Hornets scoreless until late in the third quarter.
An impressive catch by Graham Woodward set up Edina's second touchdown. But after a failed onside kick, the Minnetonka team ran the clock down and didn't give Edina a chance to gain any momentum, making the final score 28-14 in the Skippers favor.
Edina (2-2) will face Hopkins (2-2) at home next Friday, Sept. 30.
