Locals Sample Food, Spirits at Taste of Edina
Fine foods, wines and beers were served at the event last week.
This year's Taste of Edina celebration was unphased by drizzle and clouds, as the Hughes Pavillion plus a few tents comfortably held the many people (including Mayor Jim Hovland) who came out to sample lots of wine, beer and food from local restaurants.
Eats-wise there was everything from pecan tortes made by 's pastry chef, to salmon mousse in filo from , to 's pot roast—which was so popular they ran out of meat. The microbrews included Lagunitas, Brooklyn Brewery and Summit to name a few, and the wines encompassed varietals like Meritages, Muscadets and even something called ChocoVine (it's in the accompanying slideshow).
Enjoy the photos of the food, folks and fun that was had at the event, put on annually by the as a way to highlight the area's eateries, the ' offerings and the community itself. Lots of other city businesses also took part by sponsoring a table or vendor.
