Ladies Night Out Invites the Guys

Dates are cordially invited to attend Ladies Night Out at 50th & France this Thursday night.

It’s a date.

The popular Ladies Night Out event that brings women and girls to the 50th & France shopping district every two to three months has a new theme this time—and the guys are welcome too.

From 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22, a selection of businesses at 50th & France will be offering specials and give-aways under the theme of “Date Night.”

A new addition to the 50th & France neighborhood, TriBeCa Salon will put a hair styling twist on date night, with a free men’s haircut offered with a women’s color service—the haircut completed while the color processes, a date night time saver.

Ashley Balego, manager at TriBeCa, said it’s best to book an appointment to ensure you’ll be able to take advantage of this unique deal, though the salon will accept walk-ins as well.

If you’re unsure whether your date is the right one for you, then perhaps you should make a stop at another of 50th & France’s newcomers, , for a complementary tarot card reading. Pandolfi’s owner, Jeanne Riha, said she is bringing Kate Greenway, who did tarot card readings at Pandolfi for the last Ladies’ Night Out, back by popular demand. Pandolfi will also be featuring a new gift inventory.

At Room No. 3, guests can stop in for a complementary spa treatment. The exact service has not been announced, but in the past the shop has offered eyebrow shaping and make-up consultation. If the men want to keep their eyebrows bushy and cheekbones rouge-free, they can sample the sweets and treats that will be on hand at the boutique as well.

A Charitable Ladies Night Out

Before picking up the steals at Ladies Night Out, clear out some room in your closet and organize your unwanted items to be donated to a good cause. The 50th & France Business Association will be collecting clothing, shoes, jewelry, small appliances and toys for the Lupus Foundation of Minnesota during the event.

The drop-off location will be at the fountain near West 50th Street. Julie Boehm, marketing director for the 50th & France Business Association, said anyone wishing to donate can give their items to the attendants at the table, where guests can also pick up their event schedule and sign up for gift card drawings.

And while the theme may be “Date Night,” it’s not a prerequisite for attendance. Singles are of course welcome, too.
