• New Edina ice rink delayed after crews find frozen soil beneath arena (bringmethenews.com) — Edina's $45.2 million Braemar Arena renovation has hit a major snag, delaying the new East Rink opening from October to January 1, 2027 after crews found 12 feet of frozen subsoil. Two existing ice sheets will stay open while engineers fully thaw and test the ground, and city staff are reshuffling ice time to keep teams and skaters on the ice.
