"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." – Ben Franklin
Mr. Franklin was talking about fire prevention when this famous quote was spoken, but really it can be applied to many facets of life, importantly your health. How often do you really think about your health? For most of us, it is actually quite often, but there are different reasons why and how society thinks about health.
For the majority of us, we think about health once it is already lost. It takes a symptom, such as illness or injury, before we think about our health or become concerned about health. In most cases, having a symptom of any kind is not simply a stroke of bad luck; it is a result of your choice to not be healthy. Because a symptom is a lack of health, those who choose to not live a healthy lifestyle, actually think about health often because they are regularly sick! How twisted is that? Society thinks about health because we are sick, rather than thinking about health to be healthy.

For the minority of us, we think about health not because it is lost, but because we want health to be found. When you make lifestyle decisions with your health in mind, you naturally live a healthier lifestyle. When you live a healthier lifestyle, symptoms no longer have a part in that lifestyle. Not taking your LIFE and body for granted will lead you to a longer and higher quality of LIFE!
